1. Notions of Visitor, Customer, and Vendor
The visitor of the website www.romanoconte.photos is considered a user as long as no purchase or contact is made. A visitor becomes a customer once he either
- contacts us through the dedicated online contact form, or
- places an order in the /shop section.
The vendor, hereafter also referred to as the photographer or the artist, is the sole owner of the products, provider of services, and operator of this website and its online shop.
2. Definition of Products and Services
Products
A product refers to any photographic artwork offered for sale, whether online, during exhibitions, or through any other direct transaction with the vendor, regardless of dimension, print size (format), or print type (medium). Digital files (downloads) are also considered products. All products are subject to these GTCs regardless of the sales channel.
Services
A service refers to the execution of a photographic activity (e.g., events, commissioned shoots, or other assignments) agreed in advance and governed by a mandate contract.
- The vendor, as photographer, acts as the representative under the mandate.
- The client acts as the constituent commissioning the service.
- Any model involved is considered a participant, whose rights and obligations are governed by a separate model release or agreement.
3. Copyright and Intellectual Property
The vendor, as artist, is the sole creator and copyright holder of all products offered for sale. All rights are reserved. For full details, please refer to the Copyright page.
4. Available Formats and Media of Artworks
Fine Art Prints
Artworks are available in a variety of formats and sizes, depending on the resolution and quality of the photograph as well as the artist’s selection.
They are primarily offered in the following media: Alu Dibond (matte or glossy), Baryta Paper, or Canvas, each with wall-mounting system. The Canvas comes with an integrated wooden frame, allowing it to be mounted directly on the wall without additional support, or displayed on a stand. Standard dimensions are mainly in 3:2 or 4:3 aspect ratios (landscape and portrait). Specific formats (print sizes) are indicated on each product page, accessible directly through the shop by selecting the respective artwork.
Every print is crafted with the highest precision and attention to detail to preserve the depth, tones, and nuances of the original image, ensuring unparalleled authenticity and timeless exclusivity.
Digital photos for download
Digital works are delivered in high resolution, with a minimum of 2048 px on the short edge.
Customers who wish to order artworks in different formats or on alternative media (e.g., acrylic, glass, metal, etc.) may request a personalized quotation by contacting us via the online contact form or by email.
5. Mock-Ups and Product Images
The product images and mock-ups displayed on this website are for illustrative purposes only. They are intended solely to provide customers with a visual impression of the print type, medium, and overall presentation of the photographic artwork. These mock-ups do not constitute an exact reproduction of the final product, which may vary in appearance depending on materials, format, and production techniques. Mock-up templates are provided under license by WhiteWall www.whitewall.com, a trusted partner, without liability for deviations between illustrative images and final products.
6. Prices
All prices are indicated in CHF and EUR, net of VAT, guaranteed. The sales price is always calculated in CHF and therefore prevails. Payments in EUR are processed at the applicable daily exchange rate.
Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout for all physical products. No shipping costs apply to digital downloads, which are delivered electronically. The vendor may adjust shipping costs at any time, without prior notice, in line with market conditions.
7. Restriction of delivery zones
Delivery of physical products is limited to the following countries:
Switzerland, Liechtenstein
EU/AELE: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, TĂĽrkiye, United Kingdom (UK)
Rest of the world: not available at present.
Customers outside these zones may request a quotation by contacting us via the online contact form or by email.
8. Purchase and acceptance of the GTCS
By clicking on the “Proceed to checkout” button in the /cart, the customer is redirected to the checkout process, where the required customer information must be entered to complete the purchase order.
During this process, the customer must tick the box “I have read and accept the website terms and conditions” in order to finalize the purchase. Ticking this box constitutes full, complete, and unconditional acceptance of these GTCs. Only after such acceptance will payment be processed.
9. Payment
Accepted payment methods include credit cards, PayPal, and Google Pay (GPay). In all cases, the customer is redirected to a secure payment environment depending on the chosen method. Always verify the padlock 🔒 icon in the browser’s address bar.
- Products: no order is shipped before full payment (including shipping costs) has been credited to the vendor’s account.
- Services: payment terms are governed by the contract signed between the parties. For online orders, this contract is deemed accepted by selecting a payment method and ticking the box “I accept the GTCs in full”. By clicking “Place order”, the customer confirms a firm and binding purchase, and payment is processed, subject to prior acceptance of these GTCs (see Article 8).
10. Shipping of Prints and Delivery of Digital Downloads
Fine Art Prints
Orders are shipped in secure protective packaging by priority mail.
- Switzerland: approximately 3 weeks after payment (production, quality control, issuance of the Certificate of Authenticity, packaging, and shipping).
- Abroad: approximately 4 weeks, not guaranteed, as timelines depend on shipping partners.
Digital downloads
The download link is sent to the customer’s email address provided in the billing details once purchase and payment are completed.
- Delivery time: usually within 24 hours.
- Link validity: 30 days (for security reasons).
If the link expires, the customer may request a new one by providing the order number. The customer is solely responsible for the accuracy of the email address provided.
Delivery times are approximate. The vendor accepts no liability for delays, loss of the package, or additional costs resulting from carriers, customs clearance, tax or regulatory changes, inspections, procedural adjustments, or force majeure events.
Digital products are non-refundable. Printed products may be returned in accordance with the Return Policy.
11. Certificates of Authenticity
Each limited-edition print is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) issued by the artist, as well as a seal affixed to the back of the print. The COA contains a unique QR code that encodes the COA details.
- Verification of COA can be performed on the page /verify-coa.
- Only successful verifications are displayed as a digital COA on the page /coa-result. This page is not directly accessible and can be reached exclusively through the verification process.
- Only the results shown on this website are valid and binding.
The vendor guarantees the authenticity of every COA issued directly by him. However, the vendor excludes liability for:
- COAs or QR codes that are falsified, altered, or duplicated by third parties,
- failed verification due to customer misuse (e.g. scanning errors, incorrect data entry).
Ownership of a print and its corresponding COA confirms the buyer as the rightful collector of that edition.
12. Limited Editions
Artworks designated as limited editions are issued as part of a strictly limited series of ten (10) prints worldwide for each format. Once a limited edition is sold out, no further reproductions will ever be released in that format.
The numbering of limited editions is assigned automatically and determined by the order sequence in the vendor’s online shop, on a strict first-come, first-served basis. Customers are not entitled to select or reserve specific edition numbers. For illustrative purposes: if ten editions remain in stock, the customer will receive No. 1 of 10; if three remain, the customer will receive No. 8 of 10. Customers may submit a request for a preferred number through the dedicated online contact form or by email. However, fulfillment of such requests cannot be guaranteed by the vendor.
Each Certificate of Authenticity (COA) attests that the accompanying artwork is an original fine art photograph by romano conte photography.
Other artworks may also be offered outside this framework (e.g., open editions or digital downloads).
All copyrights and reproduction rights belong exclusively to the issuing artist. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or adaptation of any artwork is strictly prohibited. For full details, please refer to the dedicated Copyright page.
13. Order and Customer Information
Unless otherwise instructed, order data and customer contact details are stored for approximately five (5) years. Customers may request deletion of their data at any time by contacting us via the /contact form or by email. Such requests are processed and confirmed within 30 days.
Orders may also be placed as a guest (without creating an account), which prevents long-term storage of personal data.
Data may also be retained for longer periods if required by law (e.g., tax or accounting obligations).

14. Return Policy

15. Changes to the GTCs
The vendor may amend these GTCs at any time without prior notice. The version published on this website is the only binding version.
Orders placed prior to any modification remain subject to the GTCs in effect at the time of purchase.
16. Site security
This website is secured with an SSL certificate (Let’s Encrypt). Therefore, a padlock 🔒 and “https” appear in the browser’s address bar.
The vendor applies state-of-the-art technical measures to protect the site against unauthorized access, data theft, or misuse. However, no liability is accepted if third parties gain access to stored data despite these measures; liability for such unauthorized access is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
This website may contain links to external websites. The vendor has no influence over the content, availability, or security of such sites and therefore disclaims all liability for them. Responsibility for such external content rests solely with the respective operators. Consequently, accessing external websites is at the sole risk of the user.
17. Privacy Policy
The vendor guarantees that personal data will never be sold, rented, or otherwise transferred to third parties, except where disclosure is required by law or by a binding order from competent authorities. 18. Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics, a service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyze user activity. Data (including IP address) may be transferred to Google servers in the USA.
